Tare Tuttare Ture Swaha

Tare Tuttare Ture Swaha

This is a Tibetan mantra dedicated to Tara. Considered by some to be the earliest champion of feminine strength. She chose to always incarnate as a woman, even when the monks of her day suggested she pray to return as a male, so that she may attain a higher level (a suggestion she did not take kindly to!). appearing in many colors, she represents a guardian of nature, protector, mother and warrior. she is also known as dhruva, the northern star, a guide to navigators at sea.

ngyanachandra born upon the moon
formed from tears, the lotus flower bloom
she crossed the void and reached the other shore
they called her North Star, a guiding light she bore
